On July 13-16, LICA members from across the country gathered at the Ameristar Hotel & Casino in St. Charles to share some laughs, renew old friendships, make some new ones, and learn a thing or two! On Wednesday, several members enjoyed a pre-tour of Grant’s Farm where they were able to get up close to those majestic Clydesdales, followed by great lunch with some adult beverages, and a tour of the park. Thursday morning the contactors started with education classes related to their industry, while the ladies got some education at a local spice shop. The ladies also enjoyed some of St. Charles unique shops and a wonderful luncheon before joining the family for some time to explore the wonders of St. Louis on their own. Thursday night was the Associates’ Night based on the 1904 Worlds Fair Theme. Attendees were able to reconnect with our generous Associate members and participate in an auction to support the LICA Scholarship Fund and the LICA Veterans Educational Foundation. On Friday, we got down to business with committee meetings, the Case Luncheon, followed by more committee meetings and then wrapped up the day at a St. Louis Cardinals game where they handily won against the Cincinnati Reds. The Board Meeting was held on Saturday morning and the event wrapped up with a delicious luncheon provided by John Deere.
Below are some memories from the 2022 National LICA Summer Meeting …enjoy!
